Hello, and thanks for seeking out The Caring Collective. We exist to help people make sense of the caring journey they are on, share skills and experiences, and find a space where our stories are heard and respected.

On these pages, you can expect to find individual stories and advice, links to others who are offering amazing support for similar issues, and an invitation to share your experiences. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Sadly, our stories don’t make us unique, but we have really struggled to find our people and that’s how we ended up here, trying to learn how to set up a website, so we could talk about responsibility, caring, depression, suicide, hope, exhaustion and all the messy stuff in between. Wild we know.

We will tell you that some of the things featured here will be hard to read, and although we will always include warnings, please do go and look at something more fun and silly now if you’re not in a place to hear about it.

If you do stay, thank you so much for being here, for reading what we have to say, and for letting us get some of the inside stuff, out.

We’re fairly new, and we’re learning as we go about what’s helpful to share, what perhaps isn't, and what kind of support we should offer. We’re also trying to use less commas, so bear with us…

Hi, I’m Kate - founder of The Caring Collective. I’m so pleased you’ve found us and want to read more about what we have to say on our experiences of caring for loved ones and mental health. This website is a bit of ‘all-sorts’ but my hope is that it continues to grow, and gives way to a flourishing community where we can discuss these issues together. If you want to know more about how we got here, please visit our ‘who we are’ page
